Unusual Welcome

We spent the weekend up in Heber working on the house. On Monday night I had to spend some time studying for my NCLEX so Colin decided to go on a walk around the block to see what the neighborhood was like at that time of night (8 pm). He was wearing his black hooded sweatshirt, with the hood on because it was chilly. Don't forget Colin is growing out his beard right now too so I guess he looked a little suspicious. Well as he was walking he saw a police beginning to follow him in his car. After several minutes of this the police turned his lights on and pulled Colin over. Can you imagine? You are out on a walk in your new neighborhood and get pulled over! Anyway the policeman asked Colin what he was doing, who he was, if he had i.d. on him. Colin just told him that we bought a house at the end of the street and was glad to know that we will be safe around here! He welcomed us to the neighborhood and sent Colin on his merry way. It turns out that the policeman lives on our street! How funny! It was a very unusual welcome but at least we can feel safe there, right?

What a great story. I can't wait to visit you guys the next time I'm in Utah. Your house is so cute- I've always loved yellow houses. Congrats you guys. How exciting!

Dang, well I'm glad you'll have a safe neighborhood. Did you talk to any of the neighbors before moving in?

Wow. Is it bad to say, only in Utah? But very nice that you are safe in your neighborhood!

It's true, except that he lives a block up the street, about 7 houses away from the other K-9 Deputy Sheriff in Wasatch County!

Oh my gosh. That's hilarious. Colin isn't that scary. I'm glad you have a cop nearby you though that is concerned.
