8-5-06 ...an update

Hello All-
It has been a while since I last updated you. There has been much that has transpired since I updated. The biggest news is that I am now married. We went through with it. June 24th 2006 was the big day. It was a long day but very much an exciting day. We began it with a breakfast up the canyon at Silver Fork Lodge. It was a buffet with all sorts of delicious foods. There were some roasts and toasts, songs and lots of friends and family. Then we scurried to downtown Salt Lake for the wedding ceremony that took place at the Latter-day Saint Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There was a small group that was in attendance. Probably 50 or so. It was beautiful. My wife is beautiful. It was a joyous occasion and a pure emotional high. We then spent the next hour or so taking pictures around the temple grounds and received many congratulations from strangers passing by. It struck me how kind these people were to congratulate us on our marriage when they didn't even know us. It disproved my unstable mental paranoia that all people are out to get me.
We then had a couple hours for the evening party, so my recent Bride and I went home and soaked our feet in hot water while her friends re did her makeup and I made final arrangement for the hotel that evening. We then held a formal reception at Cactus and Tropicals in Salt Lake City. We hosted about 400 people throughout the evening. With the wonderful help of Anne Marie Bickmore they were all fed well and kept happy. Anne Marie did a fantastic job of catering our event. We had all sorts of pastas and salad and breads.
We do have pictures however we are waiting to get them all finalized. We then headed out for our honeymoon.

Now we have been married for 40 days and it is fantastic. We live in a basement apartment and love it. We are making it our little home, there are a few pics below in previous posts. Mandy has spent the summer working and attending school to get it over with sooner. She just finished up the semester and is very excited. Now we both have some free time to play, which we intend to.
We had a few guests over for the 4th of July to watch fireworks for the annual Independence Day celebration here in good old Salt Lake. it was nice because we were able to just sit on the lawn of our yard and watch. We had front row seats and didn't have to fight traffic. I also have pics of that, I'll see if I can post them soon.
At the moment I am very tired and it is only 8 45AM. I am at work and have been here is since 7AM. Instead of sleeping I thought i'd update the blog and hope that took a while in order to keep me awake. I am afraid that if I read I will fall asleep. So i will yet again waste countless hours surfing the net, watching the latest news casts from CNN.com pipeline and CNet.com.
If any of you know good sites that do free web hosting let me know. I am trying to start a web site for Cystic Fibrosis. Hopefully it will all pan out as planned.
I'll try and keep a regular update going, at least once every couple weeks, but with the semester beginning there are no solid deals.
