Swing Dance Class

So I managed to convince Colin that it would be really fun if we signed up for a swing dance class. To his surprise he had a lot of great time and me too. We aren't the most coordinated couple but we learned some great steps and made unforgettable memories. Here are 2 videos that we took of ourselves during the 3rd class. They are pretty funny to us, probably boring to you. Enjoy!

More Birthday Festivites

On Saturday May 3rd Beth and Brian (Colin's mom and dad) took everyone to the Mandrain (Chinese resturant in Bounitful). It is probably the best Chinese food in Salt Lake. It was a fun birthday dinner.

On Sunday May 4th my dad had a BBQ to celebrate Colin and Lissy's birthday (my sister-in-law, her birthday was on May 3rd)

Birthday Festivities - A Day in Review

6:00 am - Colin left for work, I slept ( Note: I had every intention of waking up before Colin at 5am to decorate and make him breakfast before he left for work but I didn't even hear my alarm clock go off, oops)
1:00 pm - Colin's work ordered lunch for him
1:30 pm - Colin came home to a decorated house, with all of his presents wrapped and placed on the mantel, hung out with Spencer, watched t.v and took a long nap
6:00 pm - went to Park City for dinner at an Italian restaurant called Ciesero's. It was really good, Colin got lasanga, and I got seafood fettucince (the noodles were made out of seaweed and they were tasty)
8:30 pm - came home, got the melting cakes ready, lit the candles*, sang happy birthday, made Colin wear a birthday hat (he is such a good sport), opened presents
10:30 pm -went to bed

*Last year we went on a cruise and Colin ordered the melting cake every night for dessert. I thought it would be fun to make it for him on his birthday. Although it was delicious it wasn't ideal for sticking 25 trick candles in it. However I was determined to get those candles lit and sing him happy birthday before he blew them out or else his birthday was not complete. It is pretty funny, and we got most of it on video!

Melting Cake: Delicious Disaster

Luckily I made 4, so he got to eat one that wasn't destroyed by candle wax
Presents!!!
With wrapping paper and empty boxes all over the floor, his birthday was a success!
