Breathe. Fight. Live.

Hey everyone-

Please check out the links to the right, especially the Breathe. Fight. Live. website. My brother has spent a lot of time on it and it is for a great cause. If you would like to add the link, please feel free-He'd love the support. You can contact me if you need the html code.

Also, Mandy has started a separate blog (ourroadcalledivf) so that anyone who wants to can follow along with us as we journey along the path of in-vitro fertilization.

I could cry...

because Colin is finally home!!!!! I know that 2 weeks doesn't seem that long but when your husband is in the hospital it feels like forever. We got discharged at 1:30pm, came home and took a 3 hour nap. Tonight we are just eating Papa Murphy's (Chicken Artichoke Bacon Delite, our current favorite) and enjoying being home. Here are a few pictures of us at the hospital.
A typical day.

Colin's PICC line site

Colin's work sent him a Edible Gift Basket. It was so cool and great to have fresh fruit.

Thank you for all of your support. We appreciate the phone calls, visits, prayers and thoughts. We are grateful for the awesome care Colin got while there and feel so blessed for his quick bounce back to good health.

A day in the hospital life

So i spent 11 hours yesterday filming a time lapse movie with my macbook. I was going to post it here, but i realized that I should edit it first, so as to protect the privacy of those employees who were in and out throughout the day. As soon as I finish editing it I will post it, but for now you may enjoy this brief clip of me sitting in bed. I think the frame capture rate for this small film is 10.

Enjoy.

Just So You Know...

It's that time again of pokes, blood draws, hospital food, PICC lines, respiratory therapist, nurses, doctors, vital signs, and hospital beds. Colin was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:30 pm. Everything went smooth and with minimal stress which we are very thankful for! Colin is doing great. We expect to be here anywhere from 10-14 days so we would love any visitors. Please keep us in your prayers, especially that Colin's body will respond well to his treatments. Thanks for your love and support!
We will post pictures soon.

10 YEARS AGO: I didn't know what the show Friends because I lived in Russia for 4 years prior and wasn't up to date on American culture. (Then again I knew who Ace of Base was before anyone, Emily is my witness)

5 THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST: post my "Tagged" info, go to the gym, write my critical analysis for my Health Policy class, cook dinner, do more homework

5 SNACKS I ENJOY: fresh blueberries & blackberries, 100 calorie snack size popcorn bags, peanut butter toast on my dad's homemade whole wheat bread, fruit smoothies made with Costco frozen berries and OJ, and cookies

WHAT I WOULD DO IF I SUDDENLY BECAME A BILLIONAIRE: hire someone to write my critical analysis for me, hire Giada and Barefoot Contessa to be my personal chiefs, have In-Vitro Fertilization, buy a brand new Volvo, build Colin & my dream home

5 JOBS I'VE HAD: Yogurt Park, Restoration Hardware, telemarketer, aerobics instructor, Wells Fargo Bank teller

5 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME: I want to open my own small business one day, probably a cookie shop. I drag my husband to the Hogle Zoo every summer.
