Home Sweet Home

Colin was discharged from his 12-day hospitilization on Friday. It is SOOOOO nice to have him home. He is doing great! His PFT's went back up to 92 and he is feeling more energized, well rested and is breathing much easier now. He hit the ground running and went back to work the next morning. Despite all of my best efforts I can't convince him to slow down. My mom came over Thursday night and helped me deep clean my house before Colin came home and took 3 of my loads of laundry to her house to wash, dry, and IRON (I don't even do that unless I am desperate). Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers, we appreciate all of your love and support, it means so much to us! You are great friends and family!

So I have a few more weeks of nursing school (2 1/2 to be exact). I feel like I have just run a marathon and I am on the last mile. I am exhausted from 16 straight months of classes, clinicals, endless homework and studying. Not to mention trying to enjoy life, take care of myself and Colin and have balance. I wouldn't have made it this far with out Colin's support and endless encouragement. To steal a quote from The Great Debators "you do what you have to do, so you can do what you want to do", I truley believe that all my efforts and energy towards my goal of becoming a nurse have been worth it. Sometimes it has been rough but I always kept focus on my ultimate goal. I see the finish line in the distance!

To answer some people's question we are thinking about moving to Heber Valley, UT where the air is clean and we are still close to work. Nothing is final at this point. Still in the "thinking-about-our-options" phase.
